ACURA TLX TYPE S FITMENT
The Acura TLX Type S (2021–2024) is Acura's flagship sport sedan — powered by a turbocharged 3.0L V6 producing 355 hp with the legendary SH-AWD torque-vectoring system. It uses a 5x120 bolt pattern with a 64.1mm center bore. The Type S's wide body, aggressive fender flares, and sophisticated AWD system create specific fitment requirements. The factory 20" cast wheels weigh approximately 26 lbs each — replacing them with forged alternatives dramatically improves the car's already impressive handling dynamics.

Why this setup: A forged 20x9 at ~21 lbs saves over 20 lbs per set versus the factory 26 lb cast wheels. The SH-AWD torque-vectoring system operates most effectively with matched tire sizes — it actively sends power to the outside rear wheel during cornering, and mismatched sizes can confuse the calibration. ET32–ET40 is the safe range. The front SH-AWD unit has tight inner clearances — stay at ET32+.
19" Square — Track & Comfort
Stepping down to 19 inches provides more sidewall, wider tire options, and reduced unsprung weight for HPDE events and rough road surfaces.
