— About Grip Theory

TWO BROTHERS. ONE OBSESSION.

Grip Theory started the way most good ideas do — out of frustration, passion, and too many hours spent in a garage.

Where It Started

We grew up in Southern California racing go-karts. That was the beginning. Before we could drive, we were already obsessed with setup — tire pressures, alignment, weight distribution, anything that made the kart rotate a little better through a corner. We did not care about trophies. We cared about the feeling when everything was dialed in.

As we got older, karts turned into cars and karting tracks turned into canyon roads, autocross lots, and eventually real track days. We went through the whole progression — bolt-ons, coilovers, brake upgrades, and inevitably, wheels. And that is where it got frustrating.

The Problem We Kept Running Into

We wanted high-quality forged wheels that fit our cars properly, looked right, and did not weigh more than they needed to. Simple, right? Not really. The big names had year-plus lead times. Some companies offered dozens of designs but could not tell you if the wheel would clear your caliper. Others sold cast wheels dressed up to look forged. The whole experience felt like it was built for people who park at shows, not people who actually drive.

We got particular about our setups. We wanted exact offsets, specific widths, real forged construction, and the ability to talk to someone who actually understood what we were trying to build. That company did not exist the way we wanted it to. So we built it.

What Grip Theory Is

Grip Theory is a forged wheel company built around two things: material quality and customer experience.

We only offer forged aluminum and forged magnesium wheels. No cast. No flow-formed. No compromise on material. Every wheel starts as a solid billet of aerospace-grade forging and is machined to final spec in-house. That is the baseline. We do not sell anything we would not bolt onto our own cars.

No Year-Long Wait

We are not interested in making you wait 12–18 months for a set of wheels. Our standard builds ship in 6-8 weeks, not seasons. Quick Ship wheels go out the door even faster. We know what it feels like to have a car sitting in the garage waiting on parts — that is not the experience we want to deliver.

Built With You, Not For You

We work directly with every customer. If you want a custom color, a specific offset, a unique spoke profile, or a finish that nobody else is running — we will make it happen. Our bespoke program exists because we believe the best wheel is the one that is built exactly the way you want it.

Real Fitment, Not Guesswork

We built our configurator because we were tired of the old way. Pick your car, pick your wheel, and see exactly what fits — offsets, widths, caliper clearance, all of it. No emails back and forth. No crossed fingers when the box shows up.

Why It Matters

Wheels are the most visible performance part on a car. They affect how the car looks, how it handles, and how it feels. We think that deserves more than a generic product page and a vague shipping estimate.

We are two brothers from Southern California who love driving. We build the wheels we want to drive on, and we sell them the way we would want to buy them — with honest information, real quality, and a team that actually gives a damn.

That is Grip Theory.
