BUILT FOR REAL DRIVING. BACKED FOR REAL USE.
Grip Theory wheels are built for enthusiasts who actually drive their cars. That means canyon roads, autocross, HPDE, track days, and responsible performance driving are not treated like automatic warranty disqualifiers.
Our warranty is simple: if a Grip Theory wheel fails because of a true defect in material, forging, machining, assembly, or workmanship, we will make it right.
If a wheel structurally fails during reasonable track use and the failure was not caused by impact, misuse, improper installation, unsafe setup, or use beyond the wheel's rated limits, Grip Theory will cover the wheel 100%.
Lifetime Structural Warranty
Grip Theory wheels are backed by a limited lifetime structural warranty to the original retail purchaser. This covers structural manufacturing defects in material or workmanship for the life of the wheel.
Covered structural issues may include defects related to forging, machining, material integrity, spoke structure, barrel structure, center bore tolerance, bolt pattern machining, or other manufacturing-related failures.
Reasonable Track Use Coverage
Grip Theory wheels are designed for performance use. Reasonable track use may include HPDE events, open track days, time attack, autocross, canyon driving, and other controlled performance driving where the wheel is installed correctly and used within its intended application and load rating.
We will not deny a valid structural warranty claim simply because the wheel was used on track. If the wheel fails because of something we did wrong, we cover it.
What Is Not Covered
This warranty does not cover damage caused by impact, misuse, unsafe setup, improper installation, modification, or use outside the intended limits of the wheel.
- Impact with walls, barriers, curbs, berms, potholes, debris, cones, or other objects
- Going off track and striking dirt, rocks, holes, drainage areas, or uneven surfaces
- Contact with another vehicle or damage from a crash, spin, slide, or loss of control
- Bends, cracks, fractures, or air loss with clear signs of impact damage
- Improper fitment, unsafe spacer/adaptor use, incorrect hub-centric rings, or incorrect hardware
- Under-torque, over-torque, missing hardware, loose hardware, or failure to re-torque after installation
- Brake caliper, suspension, fender, body, or inner-liner contact caused by fitment or vehicle setup
- Unsafe alignment, excessive camber, damaged suspension, or modifications that create abnormal stress
- Powder coating, repainting, drilling, machining, welding, repairing, or modifying the wheel after delivery
- Tire mounting, dismounting, balancing, shipping, or installation damage
- Use beyond the wheel's stated load rating or on an unintended vehicle application
- Off-road use, rally use, jumping, curb hopping, or use on unpaved surfaces
- Continued use after visible damage, vibration, air loss, cracking, or other warning signs
Two-Piece Wheel Coverage
For two-piece wheels, the forged center, barrel, assembly hardware, and sealing system are covered against manufacturing defects.
This does not cover leaks, vibration, hardware damage, or sealing issues caused by impact, incorrect installation, improper tire mounting, third-party disassembly, third-party reassembly, chemical damage, refinishing, or modification after delivery.
Two-Year Finish Warranty
Grip Theory wheels include a two-year limited finish warranty against finish defects caused by manufacturing or workmanship issues. Covered finish issues may include peeling, lifting, bubbling, or abnormal finish failure that is not caused by outside damage or normal use.
Finish warranty does not cover rock chips, brake dust staining, heat staining, rubber marks, track debris, curb rash, scratches, tire machine damage, road debris, chemical cleaners, aggressive brake pad deposits, normal wear, or damage caused during installation, tire mounting, or vehicle use.
Track use can be hard on finishes. Brake dust, heat, rubber, debris, and aggressive cleaning products are normal exposure items and are not considered finish defects.
Crash Replacement Program
Impact damage is not covered under warranty, but we do not leave our customers stranded. Grip Theory offers a crash replacement program with discounted pricing on replacement wheels for verified Grip Theory owners. If you damage a wheel and need a replacement, reach out to us — we will work with you to get back on the road or back on track as fast as possible.
Eligibility
This warranty applies to new Grip Theory wheels purchased directly from Grip Theory or an authorized Grip Theory dealer. It applies to the original retail purchaser only and is not transferable. Proof of purchase may be required.
Wheels must be installed correctly, used with proper hardware, and used on the vehicle application they were ordered for.
How to File a Claim
Submit a Request
Fill out our Returns & Exchanges form and select "Defective Item" as the request type. Include your order number and a description of the issue.
Send Us Photos
We will ask for clear photos of the damage, the wheel's serial number, and details about how the wheel was used. The more information the better — it helps us move faster.
We Review
Our team reviews every claim individually. We may ask for additional documentation such as alignment specs, tire specs, service records, or event details.
Resolution
If approved, we will repair or replace the wheel, or provide credit toward a current equivalent if the original model has been discontinued. In some cases the wheel must be returned for inspection first.
Our Promise
We are enthusiasts first. We know our customers buy Grip Theory wheels because they want to drive their cars, not park them.
If one of our wheels fails because of a defect, we will stand behind it. Track use does not scare us. Abuse, impact, improper installation, and unsafe setups are different. This warranty is built around that difference.
