FORD FOCUS RS FITMENT

The Focus RS (Mk3, 2016–2018) is Ford's AWD turbocharged rally weapon for the street. Its 2.3L EcoBoost produces 350 hp through a sophisticated twin-clutch AWD system that can send up to 70% of torque to the rear axle — enabling the famous "drift mode." It uses a 5x108 bolt pattern with a 63.4mm center bore — shared with the Focus ST and some Volvos but relatively uncommon in the aftermarket. The factory 19x8 cast wheels are heavy — replacing them with forged alternatives is one of the single most effective performance modifications.

Quick Reference
Bolt Pattern: 5x108  |  Center Bore: 63.4mm  |  Hub Type: Conical Seat  |  Lug Torque: 200 Nm (148 ft-lb)
Note: 5x108 is relatively uncommon in the aftermarket — shared with Volvo S60/V60 Polestar and Ford ST models. Grip Theory machines every wheel to order.

19" Square — Street Standard

19 inches is the factory diameter. The Focus RS's AWD system and front strut towers create tight clearances, so offset precision is critical.

01

19" Flush Square

Filling the fenders without rubbing on AWD components.

  • Recommended Size: 19x8.5 ET45 all around
  • Street Tires: 235/35R19 Square
  • Performance Tires: 245/35R19 Square

Why this setup: Stay at ET42+ to avoid inner fender contact with the AWD components. The factory brakes are large (350mm front) and require 19" minimum diameter. A forged 19x8.5 saves 5–7 lbs per corner over the factory cast wheels — on the Focus RS's twin-clutch AWD system, this reduction in rotational mass noticeably improves turn-in and braking feel. The square setup protects the AWD system from mismatched rolling diameters.

18" Square — Track Weapon

18 inches provides access to wider tires, more sidewall protection, and reduced weight for SCCA and HPDE competition — this is the setup that has won multiple national championships.

02

18" Lightweight Track Square

The SCCA National Championship-winning configuration.

  • Recommended Size: 18x9 ET40 all around
  • Track Tires (200TW): 255/40R18 Square
  • R-Compound: 265/35R18 Square
  • Brake Warning: 18" fitments are tight — verify spoke clearance with the factory Brembo 4-piston front calipers.

Why this setup: The wider 9" barrel with a 255/265mm tire provides dramatically more mechanical grip than the factory 235s — the AWD system can fully exploit the extra traction. This configuration has won multiple SCCA National Championships in the Focus RS. The Brembo front calipers create tight clearance at 18" — not all designs will fit.
