TESLA MODEL X FITMENT

The Tesla Model X (and Model X Plaid) is a full-size luxury SUV weighing over 5,300 lbs. It uses a 5x120 bolt pattern with a 64.1mm center bore. The Model X's massive curb weight, instant torque, and air suspension create unique fitment challenges. Forged wheels are arguably more important on the Model X than any other Tesla — the weight savings improve range, reduce brake wear, and meaningfully improve the air suspension's ability to manage body roll.

Quick Reference
Bolt Pattern: 5x120  |  Center Bore: 64.1mm  |  Hub Type: Conical Seat  |  Lug Torque: 175 Nm (129 ft-lb)
Load Rating Critical: The Model X exceeds 5,300 lbs. All aftermarket wheels MUST be forged and load-rated appropriately (1,000+ kg per wheel). Cast wheels are extremely prone to bending or failing on this chassis.

22" Staggered — Factory-Equivalent Standard

Maintaining the commanding factory stance while providing dramatic weight savings over the heavy factory 22-inch turbine wheels.

01

22" Flush Staggered

Maximum visual impact with improved driving dynamics.

  • Recommended Front: 22x9.5 ET35
  • Recommended Rear: 22x10.5 ET35
  • Tire Sizes: 265/35R22 Front, 285/30R22 Rear

Why this setup: Factory 22-inch cast turbine wheels weigh approximately 32 lbs each. A quality forged replacement at ~24 lbs saves over 30 lbs per set — translating to measurable range improvement and significantly reduced road noise over sharp bumps. ET35 pushes the wheels out slightly from the factory ET40/ET45, providing a flush, aggressive look.

20" Square — Range & Comfort

For owners prioritizing efficiency, ride quality, and winter capability, stepping down to a 20-inch square setup is the ideal practical choice.

02

20" Range-Optimized Square

Maximum efficiency and tire rotation capability.

  • Recommended Size: 20x9.5 ET35 all around
  • Tire Sizes: 265/45R20 Square

Why this setup: Stepping down to 20-inch wheels provides dramatically more sidewall for improved ride comfort, better pothole protection, and 5-8% more range compared to 22s. The square setup simplifies tire rotation to maximize tread life. A forged 20x9.5 at ~21 lbs paired with all-season tires is the ultimate year-round daily driving configuration.
