BMW M5 (F90) FITMENT
The F90 M5 marked BMW's transition to a 5x112 bolt pattern with a 66.6mm center bore for the M5 platform. With over 600 hp and xDrive AWD, this car puts enormous forces through its wheels. The wide body and aggressive fender flares accommodate massive 21-inch staggered setups that look visually proportional to the car's imposing dimensions, while the heavy curb weight makes forged construction essential.
Quick Reference
Bolt Pattern: 5x112 | Center Bore: 66.6mm | Hub Type: Conical Seat | Lug Torque: 140 Nm (103 ft-lb)
AWD Warning: The F90 M5's xDrive system requires front and rear tire rolling diameters to match within 1% to prevent transfer case damage.
21" Staggered — The Street Standard
21 inches is the gold standard for the F90 M5, filling the large wheel arches perfectly and providing the aggressive, low-profile stance the super sedan deserves.
01
21" Aggressive Stagger
Filling the wide fender flares while providing maximum contact patch for the xDrive system.
- Recommended Front: 21x10 ET25
- Recommended Rear: 21x11 ET28
- Street Tires: 275/30R21 Front, 295/30R21 Rear (or 305/25R21)
Why this setup: ET22–ET30 front and ET25–ET35 rear is the safe range. A 21x10 and 21x11 setup sits flush without rubbing on stock suspension. The carbon ceramic brake option has no impact on 21-inch clearance. Forged construction is strongly recommended given the car's weight (4,300+ lbs) and immense power output.
20" Staggered — Performance & Comfort
Dropping to 20 inches provides significantly more sidewall protection, a wider selection of high-performance tires, and improved ride quality for daily driving over rough pavement.
02
20" Track / Comfort Stagger
Better tire selection and more sidewall protection for spirited driving and HPDE.
- Recommended Front: 20x10 ET25
- Recommended Rear: 20x11 ET28
- Tire Sizes: 275/35R20 Front, 285/35R20 Rear (or 295/30R20)
Why this setup: 20-inch wheels clear all factory brake options including carbon ceramics. The taller sidewall helps absorb impacts on the heavy F90 chassis, preventing wheel damage and improving ride comfort. The 20-inch diameter also significantly reduces rotational mass for improved acceleration and braking.
