— Two-Piece Forged Package

TWO-PIECE CONSTRUCTION. DEEPER LIP. MORE OPTIONS.

A standard Grip Theory wheel is a monoblock — one solid piece of forged aluminum, machined to final shape. It is strong, light, and simple. The Two-Piece Forged Package takes that same forged center and pairs it with a separate outer barrel and lip assembly, giving you a wheel with more visual depth, more finish combinations, and the unmistakable look of high-end motorsport hardware.

Build Process

01

The Forged Blank

Every wheel face starts as a raw forged aluminum blank — the same aerospace-grade material used in our monoblock builds. Dense, strong, and ready to machine.

02

CNC Machining

The center is precision CNC-machined to the selected design, vehicle fitment, bolt pattern, brake clearance, and offset — held to the same tolerances as our monoblock builds.

Separate Barrel & Lip

The barrel and lip are built as a separate assembly. This is where the magic happens — choose a polished or silver outer lip with a contrasting face finish like bronze, gunmetal, black, white gold, or white. Two-piece construction also opens the door to wider barrel widths that are harder to achieve with monoblock.

04

Assembly & Inspection

The center and barrel are assembled with motorsport-style hardware and sealed. Every wheel is carefully inspected for runout, balance quality, and final finish consistency before shipping. The visible hardware becomes part of the design — not hidden, but celebrated.

Why Choose Two-Piece?

  • Deep lip look: creates the concave, stepped depth that is difficult to achieve with a standard one-piece design. This is the look that makes people stop and stare.
  • Finish contrast: keep the lip and barrel silver or polished while choosing a different center color. Bronze face with a polished lip. Gunmetal face with a brushed barrel. The combinations are yours.
  • Wider width range: two-piece construction can accommodate wider barrels than monoblock, giving you more flexibility on aggressive fitments.
  • Motorsport aesthetic: visible hardware and layered construction give the wheel a purpose-built feel. It looks like it belongs on a race car because the engineering comes from the same place.
  • Serviceability: separate pieces make future lip or barrel service, refinishing, or width changes more practical than modifying a one-piece wheel.

Good Fit For

  • Drivers who want the deep-lip, concave look that monoblock cannot achieve
  • Builds with contrasting face and barrel finishes — the two-tone aesthetic
  • Wide-body or aggressive fitment setups that need maximum barrel width
  • Customers who want the visible hardware, motorsport-inspired look
What's included: forged center, forged barrel, assembly hardware, sealing, final balance and runout check. Estimated upgrade is +$750 per wheel over the equivalent monoblock. Final pricing may vary with sizing, finish, material, and special requests.
