BMW E60 M5 FITMENT
The E60 M5 (2006–2010) is defined by its legendary S85 5.0L naturally aspirated V10. It uses a 5x120 bolt pattern with a 72.56mm center bore. The E60 M5 features relatively wide fenders for its era, allowing for aggressive staggered setups that emphasize its rear-wheel-drive dynamics. As a heavier super sedan (over 4,000 lbs), shedding unsprung weight with forged wheels noticeably improves the SMG transmission's perceived responsiveness and the car's braking performance.

Why this setup: The E60 chassis requires low offsets. ET15–ET25 is the functional range. A 10.5" rear wheel with a 285 or 295 tire provides the traction necessary to tame the S85's high-rpm power delivery. 19-inch wheels provide enough sidewall to maintain ride quality while filling the wheel arches properly.

Why this setup: 20-inch wheels fill out the E60's large wheel wells perfectly. However, the thinner sidewall required to maintain the correct rolling diameter reduces ride comfort and increases the risk of wheel damage on poor roads. A high-quality forged wheel is essential at this diameter to handle the 4,000lb weight on thin sidewalls without bending.
