BMW E9X 3 SERIES (PRE-LCI & COUPE) FITMENT
The E9X generation includes the E90 Sedan, E91 Touring, E92 Coupe, and E93 Convertible. This specific guide covers Pre-LCI Sedans/Tourings (2006-2008) and all years of the Coupe/Convertible (2007-2013). These models have a slightly narrower rear track width than LCI Sedans, allowing them to run more aggressive, lower offset rear wheels. They use the standard BMW 5x120 bolt pattern with a 72.56mm center bore.
Quick Reference
Bolt Pattern: 5x120 | Center Bore: 72.56mm | Hub Type: Conical Seat | Lug Torque: 120 Nm (89 ft-lb)
Fitment Note: If you have an LCI (2009-2012) Sedan or Wagon, your rear track is 8mm wider per side. See our dedicated E90 LCI fitment guide.
19" Staggered — The Street Standard
A staggered setup perfectly fills the wheel wells, providing a flush fitment that emphasizes the rear-wheel-drive nature of the E9X chassis with deep rear concavity.
01
19" Flush Stagger
The quintessential fitment for the E9X platform, maximizing width and concavity.
- Recommended Front: 19x8.5 ET35
- Recommended Rear: 19x9.5 ET33
- Tire Sizes: 235/35R19 Front, 265/30R19 Rear
- Aggressive Rear: 19x10 ET38 with 275/30R19 (may require fender roll on coupes)
Why this setup: ET35 front and ET33 rear positions the wheels flush with the fenders without aggressive camber or fender modifications on stock suspension. This is the setup that gives the E9X the iconic stanced look without compromising drivability.
18" Square — Track & Rotatable
A square setup is ideal for dialing out the factory understeer, balancing the chassis for track days, and allowing for front-to-rear tire rotation to maximize tire life.
02
18" Performance Square
A straightforward, rotatable fitment that performs as well as it looks.
- Recommended Size: 18x9 ET30 all around
- Tire Sizes: 245/40R18 Square
Why this setup: 18-inch wheels provide more sidewall, which is beneficial for track curbing and rough street surfaces. A 9-inch square setup with 245s significantly reduces the E9X's tendency to understeer. ET30 provides a strong flush look front and rear. Forged 18s offer a massive weight reduction over the heavy factory run-flat wheel/tire combo.
