BMW E90 / E91 LCI (2009-2012) FITMENT
The LCI (Life Cycle Impulse) update for the E90 Sedan and E91 Touring widened the rear track by 8mm per side compared to the Pre-LCI models and the Coupe/Convertible. This means LCI Sedans and Wagons have less rear fender clearance and require higher offset rear wheels to avoid rubbing. They still use the standard BMW 5x120 bolt pattern with a 72.56mm center bore.
Quick Reference
Bolt Pattern: 5x120 | Center Bore: 72.56mm | Hub Type: Conical Seat | Lug Torque: 120 Nm (89 ft-lb)
LCI Warning: The rear track is 8mm wider on 2009-2012 Sedans and Wagons. If you try to run an aggressive ET33 rear wheel intended for a Coupe or Pre-LCI Sedan, it will rub heavily without fender modification.
19" Staggered — The LCI Standard
A staggered setup perfectly fills the wheel wells. To accommodate the LCI's wider rear track, we increase the rear offset to keep the wheel tucked safely inside the fender line.
01
19" Flush Stagger (LCI)
The perfect plug-and-play fitment for LCI Sedans and Wagons.
- Recommended Front: 19x8.5 ET35
- Recommended Rear: 19x9.5 ET40 (or ET43 for maximum clearance)
- Tire Sizes: 235/35R19 Front, 265/30R19 Rear
Why this setup: ET35 front remains the standard across all E9X models, but moving the rear to ET40 (vs ET33 on Coupes) perfectly compensates for the LCI's 8mm wider track. This ensures a flush fitment that will not rub under suspension compression, even with passengers in the rear.
18" Square — Track & Rotatable
A square setup dials out factory understeer, balances the chassis, and allows for front-to-rear tire rotation. The 18-inch diameter provides more sidewall for track curbing and rough roads.
02
18" Performance Square
A straightforward, rotatable fitment that performs as well as it looks.
- Recommended Size: 18x9 ET35 all around
- Tire Sizes: 245/40R18 Square
Why this setup: Using ET35 all around works perfectly on the LCI chassis. It's flush up front and sits nicely in the rear. 18-inch forged wheels offer a massive weight reduction over the heavy factory run-flat wheel/tire combo, completely transforming the steering feel and braking performance.
