BMW G22 / G23 / G26 4 SERIES FITMENT

The G22 (Coupe), G23 (Convertible), and G26 (Gran Coupe) mark the modern era of the BMW 4 Series — sharing the G20 3 Series platform but with a wider track, lower roofline, and more dramatic proportions. These cars moved to the 5x112 bolt pattern, so older F32-generation 5x120 wheels will NOT fit. Whether you're driving a 430i or a tuned M440i pushing 400+ hp with the B58, the right wheel setup transforms both the visual presence and dynamic capability of these cars.

Quick Reference
Bolt Pattern: 5x112  |  Center Bore: 66.6mm  |  Hub Type: Conical Seat  |  Lug Torque: 120 Nm (89 ft-lb)

19" Staggered — Daily & Street

A staggered 19-inch setup is the sweet spot for the G22 platform — it provides excellent ride quality on imperfect roads, fills the fender wells aggressively, and gives access to the best tire selection in street performance compounds.

01

19" Staggered Daily

A great balance of ride comfort, pothole protection, and aggressive aesthetics.

  • Recommended Front: 19x8.5 ET25
  • Recommended Rear: 19x9.5 ET35
  • Street Tires: 235/40R19 Front, 265/35R19 Rear
  • Performance Tires: 245/40R19 Front, 275/35R19 Rear

Why this setup: ET25 front provides a flush fitment that sits perfectly at the fender lip. ET35 rear tucks the wider wheel under the slightly wider rear quarters. The stagger improves rear traction — especially important on M440i xDrive models where the B58's 382 hp is managed by the AWD system. For RWD 430i models, the wider rear tire provides confidence-inspiring traction on spirited canyon drives.

20" Staggered — Maximum Visual Impact

For owners who want the most dramatic visual transformation, 20-inch wheels showcase deep spoke design and create the ultimate low-profile street look.

20" Staggered Street

Filling the wheel arches entirely for maximum visual presence.

  • Recommended Front: 20x8.5 ET25
  • Recommended Rear: 20x9.5 ET35
  • Tires: 235/35R20 Front, 275/30R20 Rear

Why this setup: The 20" diameter maximizes visible wheel face, ideal for showcasing concave designs. The trade-off is reduced sidewall — the 30-series rear tire provides less pothole protection than 19". Best suited for areas with smooth roads or owners who prioritize aesthetics.

19" Square — Balanced Performance

For drivers who value neutral handling and the convenience of tire rotation, a 19-inch square setup provides equal grip front and rear. This is the smart choice for owners who push their car on backroads or attend occasional HPDE events.

03

19" Square Setup

Neutral handling, tire rotation capability, and a bold stance at all four corners.

  • Recommended Size: 19x9 ET25 all around
  • Street Tires: 245/40R19 Square
  • Performance Tires: 255/35R19 Square

Why this setup: Equal-width tires front and rear eliminate the mild understeer inherent in staggered configurations. The 245/255mm tire width provides excellent grip without overwhelming the non-M suspension. Running square also means you can rotate tires front-to-rear, extending tire life by 30–50% — a significant cost savings over a staggered setup.
