TOYOTA SUPRA MK4 (A80 / JZA80) FITMENT
The MK4 Supra is the most iconic JDM sports car of all time. The 2JZ-GTE twin-turbo inline-six has become legendary for its ability to support enormous power levels — from the factory 320 hp to well over 1,500 hp on built engines. The MK4's wide rear fenders and relatively narrow front end create a naturally staggered proportional look that demands wider rear wheels. With MK4 values exceeding $150,000+ for clean examples, every modification should be approached with both performance and preservation in mind.
Quick Reference
Bolt Pattern: 5x114.3 | Center Bore: 60.1mm | Hub Type: Conical Seat | Lug Torque: 103 Nm (76 ft-lb)
Note: The MK4's 60.1mm center bore is smaller than most 5x114.3 platforms. Hub-centric rings are essential if your wheels use a larger bore.
18" Staggered — Street Standard
18 inches is the most popular diameter for the MK4 Supra — large enough to look modern while maintaining the proportional balance of the car's timeless design.

18" Flush Stagger
The most popular MK4 Supra configuration — aggressive yet functional.
- Recommended Front: 18x9 ET25
- Recommended Rear: 18x10 ET25
- Street Tires: 255/35R18 Front, 275/35R18 Rear
- Performance Tires: 265/35R18 Front, 285/35R18 Rear
- Big Power (600+ hp): 18x10.5 ET25 Rear with 295/30R18 or 305/30R18
Why this setup: ET25 positions the wheels flush with the MK4's fender lips without poking past the body line. The front fenders are tighter than the rears — ET22 is the absolute minimum up front without fender rolling, while the massive rear quarters can accommodate 10.5" wide wheels at ET25 without issue. For high-power builds (600+ hp), stepping up to a 10.5" rear with a 295/305mm tire is essential — the 2JZ's torque delivery is brutal above 5,000 RPM, and narrow rear tires simply can't handle the power application.
17" Staggered — Drag & Track
17-inch wheels provide the taller sidewall needed for drag racing hook and the wider selection of affordable track tires. For MK4 Supras making serious power at the strip, 17" is the preferred diameter.

17" Drag & Track Stagger
Better tire selection for drag racing and spirited track use.
- Recommended Front: 17x9 ET25
- Recommended Rear: 17x10 ET25
- Track Tires: 255/40R17 Front, 275/40R17 Rear
- Drag Radials: 275/40R17 Rear (Nitto NT555 RII or Mickey Thompson ET Street R)
Why this setup: The taller 40-series sidewall provides the flex needed for drag launches — the tire wraps around the drum during the initial hit, then hooks. 17" wheels also clear the factory brakes with room to spare. For dedicated drag Supras, the taller sidewall absorbs more launch energy, protecting the drivetrain from shock loads. Many 1,000+ hp Supra builds run 17" rears with drag radials for exactly this reason.

MK4 Supra Tire Selection Guide
- Street Performance: Michelin Pilot Sport 4S (255/35R18 + 275/35R18) — the benchmark. Outstanding wet and dry grip with a progressive breakaway.
- Track Day (200TW): Yokohama Advan A052 (265/35R18 square) — highest peak grip for circuit use.
- Drag Racing: Nitto NT555 RII (275/40R17 or 295/35R18) — purpose-built drag radial. Maximum longitudinal traction for high-power launches.
- Show/Cruise: Continental ExtremeContact Sport 02 (255/35R18 + 275/35R18) — excellent dry grip with a clean sidewall design that complements the MK4's curves.
Protecting an Appreciating Icon
- Reversibility: ET25 fitments achieve a flush stance without fender rolling, pulling, or cutting. For collector-grade MK4s, this is essential.
- Period-correct aesthetics: Concave mesh designs and deep-dish styles complement the MK4's '90s design language beautifully.
- Power-appropriate sizing: For stock-to-450 hp builds, the 18x9/10 setup is ideal. Above 600 hp, invest in the wider 10.5" rear to properly manage the 2JZ's output.
- Forged construction: On a car worth $150,000+, running cast wheels contradicts the car's performance engineering philosophy.
