The Honda S2000 uses a 5x114.3 bolt pattern with a 70.1mm center bore. This car is famously challenging to fit wheels on — the extremely high factory offsets (ET63 front, ET55 rear), tight fender clearances, and sensitivity to unsprung weight make it one of the most demanding platforms in the aftermarket. Getting it right is immensely rewarding.
17 inches is the factory AP2 diameter and provides the best balance of tire selection, weight, and aesthetics. The S2000's lightweight construction means every pound matters.
A conservatively aggressive setup that fills the fenders without rubbing on stock suspension.
Why this setup: ET45 is the sweet spot for the S2000 — significantly lower than factory (which tucks the wheels in) but still safe with stock fenders. Going below ET38 on the front will cause rubbing at full lock and grab the fender tabs.
For dedicated track builds or owners who want to rotate tires, a square setup dials out factory understeer and provides massive front grip.

Why this setup: A 9-inch square setup completely transforms the S2000's front end, providing razor-sharp turn-in. However, fitting a 9-inch wheel with a 255 tire in the front requires careful suspension setup and fender modification to avoid damage.
For purists, a 16-inch square setup is the grassroots racing standard, providing the tallest sidewall for the best turn-in feel and protection, and the lightest possible package.
