ASTON MARTIN VANTAGE FITMENT

The Aston Martin Vantage has evolved dramatically across generations. The previous generation (2006–2018) featured Aston's own naturally aspirated V8 and V12 engines with classic British GT character. The current generation (2019+) moved to an AMG-sourced twin-turbo 4.0L V8 with significantly more power and a completely different platform. Critically, the two generations use different bolt patterns — the previous gen runs 5x114.3, while the current gen moved to 5x128 to accommodate its AMG-derived architecture. Wheels are completely incompatible between generations.

Current Gen (2019+) — 20" Staggered

The modern AMG-powered Vantage features wide fenders and a muscular stance that demands properly filled wheel wells. The 5x128 bolt pattern is unique to Aston Martin — wheels must be custom-manufactured for this specification.

Why this setup: The modern Vantage's AMG twin-turbo V8 produces 503–690 hp depending on variant. The 305/315mm rear tire provides the traction needed for this enormous power output through a rear-drive layout. ET35 front and ET32 rear position the wheels flush with the Vantage's sculpted fenders. The car's 3,400–3,500 lb curb weight responds exceptionally well to forged wheels — the front-mounted engine creates a nose-heavy balance that benefits from reduced unsprung weight at both axles.

Previous Gen (2006–2018) — 19" Staggered

The classic V8/V12 Vantage features more conservative dimensions and higher factory offsets than the modern generation.

V12 Vantage: Identical fender clearances but larger brake rotors — confirm spoke clearance on 19".

Why this setup: The older Vantage has higher factory offsets and slightly tighter fenders than the modern generation. ET40 front and ET45 rear provide a clean flush stance without risk of rubbing. The naturally aspirated V8's 420 hp delivers power linearly — wider rear tires allow you to stay on the throttle deeper into corner exits, exploiting the NA engine's progressive powerband. Forged wheels reduce the heavy-nose sensation that the front-mounted V8 creates.

Street Performance: Michelin Pilot Sport 4S — the benchmark for grand touring sports cars. Excellent wet grip and low noise for a car designed for long drives.
Street/Track Hybrid: Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 — significantly more dry grip. The factory option on current-gen Vantage F1 Edition.
Grand Touring: Pirelli P-Zero PZ4 — the Aston Martin OEM tire partner. Excellent comfort, long tread life, and refined highway manners.
Track Day: Yokohama Advan A052 — highest peak grip for the occasional HPDE event.
